With ebalta rapid prototyping resins, high-quality, complex parts can be produced using either vacuum casting or the low-pressure RIM process. Short demoulding times also allow the production of small and medium-sized series. In addition, we also offer a range of tooling solutions from polyurethane tooling boards to silicones for mould production.
We also offer the range of Synthene products for vacuum casting. These products have been selected for many years by major automotive companies for their prototypes and small series production runs. These products are also used in many other fields like smart home devices and medical machine housings.
Low Pressure RIM
With ebalta machine casting resins, high-quality, complex parts can be produced using the low-pressure RIM process. In this way, parts are produced in the RIM process within the shortest possible time. Short demoulding times also allow the production of small and medium-sized series, making it especially suitable for limited edition vehicles or pre production electric vehicles..
In contrast to a thermoplastic injection mould, the RIM mould is less stressed. The polyurethane tooling boards ebaboard 1400 and PW 920 are highly suitable for fast RIM mould production.
Vacuum Casting Resins
Vacuum casting is the process of choice for parts with complex geometries. Prototypes and small quantities can be produced quickly, cost-effectively and to a high quality with the polyurethane machine casting resins from ebalta and Synthene.
The polyurethane resin systems are used to produce parts with properties similar to those of thermoplastic materials or elastomers. In addition, vacuum casting resins are also available with flame retardant properties according to UL 94 V0, or a classification according to DIN EN 45545-2.

ebalta IH 16 infiltrant is a very thin liquid two component epoxy resin with high strength values and high mould resistance. Due to its good soaking and wet-out characteristics the resin/hardener mixture is suitable as infiltration resin for porous printed parts.
In adds extra strength to 3D printed parts enabling them to be handled without risk of breakage and making them suitable for form and fit testing.
